1.4. By using our services, you acknowledge that Sal-Tech may collect and use Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. Use of the website does not itself constitute consent where consent is legally required. Where consent is required for a specific processing activity, it will be requested separately.

2. Personal Data We Process and Sources

2.1. Depending on how the website and Sal-Tech services are used, we may process:

2.1.1. identification and business contact information;

3.2. Depending on the processing involved, the legal basis may include:

3.2.1. performance of a contract or steps taken before entering into a contract;

3.2.2. compliance with a legal obligation;

3.2.3. Sal-Tech's legitimate interests in operating, documenting, securing and protecting its business, transactions, systems and legal rights; or

3.2.4. consent, where specifically required.

3.3. Where consent is required, including for certain non-essential cookies or tracking technologies, it will be requested separately and may be refused or withdrawn at any time.

3.4. Sal-Tech will only retain and process Personal Data where there is a lawful basis for doing so.

4. Website and Service Protection

4.1. Sal-Tech may monitor and use information concerning the website and transactions where reasonably necessary for operational, security, payment, fraud-prevention or legitimate business purposes.

4.2. Sal-Tech may restrict, suspend or refuse access to services, account functions, orders or transactions where information provided is materially false, payment cannot be verified, misuse or unauthorized activity is suspected, or continued use would expose Sal-Tech to unreasonable commercial, security or legal risk, subject to applicable law.

5. Business, Credit and Fraud Verification

5.1. As a B2B supplier, Sal-Tech may verify relevant business, customer, payment, delivery or transaction information where reasonably necessary to confirm legitimacy, assess payment or credit risk, prevent fraud or misuse, investigate suspicious activity, or protect Sal-Tech's commercial and legal interests.

5.2. For these purposes, Sal-Tech may use lawful public sources such as business registers, company websites, official databases and other relevant sources, and may use or share appropriate information with credit reference agencies, payment providers, financial institutions or other relevant service providers.

5.3. Only information reasonably relevant to the applicable business purpose will be used.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

6.1. Sal-Tech uses cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the website and, where applicable, provide optional functionality, preferences, analytics or other services.

6.2. Technically necessary cookies may be used without consent where permitted by applicable law. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or tracking technologies, they will be activated in accordance with the user's consent choices.

6.3. Users may accept, reject or customize optional cookies and may change or withdraw their preferences through Cookie Settings.

6.4. Further information concerning cookies and tracking technologies, including their providers, purposes and duration, is available in the Cookie Policy and Cookie Settings.

7. Marketing and Remarketing

7.1. Sal-Tech may send newsletters, product updates or promotional communications where permitted by law or where the user has chosen to receive them.

7.2. Where consent is required, customers will not be automatically subscribed merely because they create an account, make an inquiry, request a quotation or place an order.

7.3. Marketing preferences may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect ordinary customer, transaction or business records that Sal-Tech is lawfully entitled or required to retain.

7.4. Sal-Tech may also use remarketing or similar advertising technologies to show relevant advertisements for Sal-Tech products or services to users who have previously visited the website.

7.5. Where remarketing involves non-essential cookies or tracking technologies requiring consent, such technologies will only be activated after the necessary consent has been obtained. Consent may be refused or withdrawn through the applicable Cookie Settings.

7.6. Remarketing services may be provided by third-party advertising or technology providers, whose independent processing may also be subject to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

8. Disclosure of Personal Data and Service Providers

8.1. Sal-Tech does not sell, rent, lease or trade Personal Data to third parties as a standalone commercial product or for monetary consideration.

8.2. Where reasonably necessary for a legitimate business purpose, Personal Data may be shared with Sal-Tech personnel and relevant group entities, service providers supporting Sal-Tech's operations, public authorities, and other recipients reasonably necessary for a transaction, service or legitimate business purpose.

8.3. This may include providers supporting IT, payments, banking, shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, communications, accounting, legal services or other business functions.

8.4. Personal Data will be disclosed only to the extent reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

8.5. Where a third party acts as a processor on behalf of Sal-Tech, Sal-Tech will apply appropriate data-protection arrangements where required by applicable law. Where a third party independently determines its processing, its own privacy terms and legal obligations may also apply.

9. Legal and Protective Disclosure

9.1. Sal-Tech may also disclose Personal Data where it reasonably and in good faith believes disclosure is necessary or appropriate to:

9.1.1. comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, court order or lawful request from a competent authority;

9.1.2. prevent, detect or investigate fraud, misuse, unlawful activity or other wrongdoing;

9.1.3. protect the rights, property, safety or legitimate interests of Sal-Tech, its users, employees, business partners or the public; or

9.1.4. establish, exercise or defend legal claims or protect Sal-Tech against legal liability.

9.2. Any such disclosure will be limited to what is reasonably necessary and made in accordance with applicable law.

10. Payment Providers, Payment Verification and Financial Data

10.1. Payments made through PayPal, Skrill or other third-party payment providers are processed through the relevant provider's independent systems and may be subject to that provider's applicable terms, privacy policy and security procedures.

10.2. Sal-Tech does not intentionally collect, retain, disclose or make available customers' complete payment-card credentials or confidential banking authentication details, except where technically necessary and lawfully handled through an approved payment process.

10.3. Sal-Tech is not responsible for unauthorized access, unlawful disclosure, security incidents, delays, reversals or other failures occurring solely within a third-party payment provider's independent systems and outside Sal-Tech's reasonable control, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

10.4. A payment confirmation, receipt, screenshot, transaction reference or other proof of payment presented by a customer does not by itself establish that Sal-Tech has received cleared funds. Payment is considered received only after the relevant amount has been verified and credited to Sal-Tech's designated account or otherwise confirmed through the applicable payment provider.

10.5. Sal-Tech may withhold processing, shipment, delivery or other performance until payment has been satisfactorily verified.

11. International Processing and Transfers

11.1. Personal Data may be accessed or processed outside Denmark and, where relevant, outside the EU/EEA as part of Sal-Tech's international business operations or through authorized personnel, service providers or business partners.

11.2. Where Personal Data is transferred outside the EU/EEA and GDPR international-transfer requirements apply, Sal-Tech will use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism or safeguard required by GDPR.

11.3. Where applicable, this may include an EU adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Information concerning applicable safeguards may be requested at support@sal-tech.com.

12. Data Security

12.1. Sal-Tech applies reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, misuse, unlawful disclosure, alteration, accidental loss or destruction.

12.2. Such measures may include appropriate access, authentication, system-maintenance, logging, backup and other security controls appropriate to the relevant system and risk.

12.3. No electronic system or internet transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

12.4. Suspected Personal Data breaches will be assessed and handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements and Sal-Tech's internal security and incident procedures.

13. Retention

13.1. Sal-Tech retains Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant business, legal or compliance purpose, including maintaining customer and transaction records, meeting statutory requirements, managing payment or fraud risks, and handling disputes or legal claims.

13.2. When Personal Data is no longer reasonably necessary and no lawful basis for retention remains, it will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable retention requirements.

14. Your Data-Protection Rights

14.1. Subject to applicable law, individuals may have the right to:

14.3. Requests concerning Personal Data may be sent to support@sal-tech.com.

14.4. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

14.5. A deletion request does not require Sal-Tech to erase information that Sal-Tech remains legally entitled or required to retain, including information required for statutory obligations, business records, fraud prevention, disputes or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

14.6. For processing subject to Danish data-protection supervision, individuals may also contact Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

17.1. Sal-Tech may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted on sal-tech.com and the effective date will be updated accordingly.

17.2. Where a change materially affects the processing of Personal Data, Sal-Tech may provide appropriate additional notice, including by email or a prominent website notice where appropriate.
